The verdicts out...

Currently I am trying to build up a body of work - it should be a simple task. I want to draw 25 horses - but I want all 25 perfect, even sellable!!

The horse below is on the fence, an odd looking horse at an even odder angle. I'm not sure if it's right or wrong.

This is also a new one (2nd August 2011) ...

Expanding...

After much deliberation I am expanding watch www.orginalhorsedesigns.com for more details. A little taster of what's to come....

Still working ....

So two things 1) I am incredible impressed with myself for actually posting another post and 2) The drawings are not what I imagined them to be, perhaps because I've changed my drawing style slightly... I'm not sure.

Anyway they are still worth noting as a stepping stone for something greater to come. Also I am well aware of the content of these drawings - and the fact they have no relevance to each other, however I quite like this- it's 'diverse'.

I do realise that most of the recent post are all pencil drawings. I will move onto a different medium just as soon as i get some money to by some paints, until then pencil is all you're getting!

Work in Progress ... still...

What it says on the tin... a work in progress.

Day... can't remember.

Right... this project has gone completely not in the direction i was hoping... which definitely speaks for a lot of things that happen in life. Anyway having moved this "Wall Piece" to the floor and then back again i fear for the survival of the piece as it was constructed on very thin paper. Now i rather regret smothering it so thickly in paint, actually in an ideal world i wouldn't have used paper at all, i would just paint on the wall (but in my current living arrangements this is not possible.)

Anyway this is what happened. First step a splash of white...

Then some colour...

To break up the colour I think adding the cut up pieces of previous work make the abstractness of the colour co- inside with the squareness of the paper parts.

Here is what is done so far, however i think it needs to be cropped to the second slide. Cutting the edges makes for a better composition, I think. 

Day Two...

New Year-ish.

Considering it is mid April I think it is slightly misleading of me to call this a new year post... however since it is in fact a new year from when I last posted and i am going to leave it as such.

I have started a new project, I want to head back to my foundation and revisit work i was doing then. Mainly due to my lack of time i need to work on projects that are quick, easy and very tangible. You might recognise imagery that I have used before however I plan on coming to a very different end to that of previous work. This however is still very much a work in progress.

These are just snap shots of what I call The Wall. The beauty of this piece is it will grow over time, consider it a jigsaw puzzle which pieces have not yet been made.
